Mission

Located in a community with one of New York City’s largest senior populations (approximately 1,300 residents age 60 or above), the Smith Houses NORC strives to fight isolation and depression through community activities and programs.

Services & Programs

• Case Management and Benefit and Entitlement
• Hot lunched served five days a week
• A variety of scheduled classes including computer classes geared toward seniors with limited or no prior knowledge of computers, “Stay Well” exercise classes, ceramics classes and more.
• Planned trips to local markets, malls and day excursions. The Smith Center has access to a Para Transit vehicle.

Eligibility

All persons that are 60 years old and above.
