Volunteers are vital to all departments and programs at Hamilton-Madison House. We need individuals who are interested in volunteering their time and skills to support our mission. We currently have 150 individual volunteers of all ages who enjoy spending time with the residents of the Two Bridges/Chinatown neighborhood.
Hamilton-Madison House partners with a variety of corporations and organizations for large one-time events and on-going volunteer initiatives. We are pleased to work with you to find a suitable project where volunteer service helps Hamilton-Madison House and is worth the time of your employees. Let us know what your needs are and we will work with you to develop a mutually beneficial project.
We partner with local schools including Columbia University, Hunter College, Fordham University, New York University and Touro College to provide field work placement for Masters of Social Work (MSW) students. In addition, when appropriate, we offer undergraduate internships in various disciplines including early childhood education, psychology, non-profit administration, and accounting.
